Christian Obodo

Christian Obodo Udubuesi ( born May 11, 1984 in Lagos) is a Nigerian football player, he plays at the position of midfielder.

Career

Obodo changed in the 2001/ 02 season from relatively unknown Nigerian club Plateau United to Italian Serie A club AC Perugia. In his second season in Perugia of Nigerians made ​​it into the trunk formation. For the season 2004 /05 Obodo then moved to Fiorentina where he was among the performers at once. Since Fiorentina had only half of the rights to Obodo and Perugia, the other, the two teams had to be agreed at the end of the season Obodos whereabouts. On the morning of June 9, 2012 Obodo was kidnapped from his Nigerian hometown of Warri. The kidnappers demanded it converted 150,000 euros ransom. On June 11, 2012 Obodo has been freed from a special command and arrested five alleged suspects kidnappers.
