Christian Thonhofer

Christian Thonhofer (born 26 May 1985 in Vienna) is an Austrian football player.

Career

Christian Thonhofer played in the youth team of Kaiserebersdorf, FK Austria Wien and the last in Admira Academy. He then joined an amateur team of VfB Admira Wacker Mödling. In the season 2005/ 06 Thonhofer played 28 games for the first team of Admiraner and scored three goals. Christian Thonhofer much time Austrian junior national team, his breakthrough came with the U21. He signed in May 2006, at Rapid Vienna a contract until 2009, and was able to secure a regular place in the preparatory period in 2007 due to very good games. In 2008 he won the Austrian championship with the Hütteldorfern.

After 62 games for Rapid, he joined in the summer of 2010 on loan to FC Magna Wiener Neustadt and returned back in the summer after 35 games for Wiener Neustadt to SK Rapid. In summer 2012 he came to Bundesliga Up Wolfberger AC in Carinthia. After 25 games with a goal, 3 templates and an own goal of the contract on 25 April 2013 were resolved, and plays since 15 July of the same year at the Burgenland SV Wimpassing.
