Christiane Wartenberg

Christiane Wartenberg, born Stoll ( born October 27, 1956 in Prenzlau ), is a German track and field athlete. She won the silver medal in the 1500 meter race at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow for the GDR. Your time of 3:57,71 min was DDR record and valid German record (as of end of 2006). She started for the SC Neubrandenburg ( Coach: Walter Gladrow ) and from 1976 for the SC Chemie Halle ( Coach: Bernd Lansky ).

Later she became head of a child and youth facility in Wittenberg. She now works as a social worker in general social services ( youth welfare office ) in Wittenberg.
