Christina Magdalena of the Palatinate-Zweibrücken

Christine Magdalena of Pfalz- Zweibrücken - Kleeburg ( born May 27, 1616 Nykoping, † August 14 1662 in Karl Castle ) was a Countess Palatine of Zweibrücken- Kleeburg and by marriage Margravine of Baden -Durlach.

Life

Christine Magdalene was the eldest daughter of the Count Palatine Johann Casimir of Zweibrücken - Kleeburg (1589-1652) from his marriage to Princess Catherine (1584-1638), daughter of King Charles IX. from Sweden. Christine Magdalene's brother was in 1654 when Charles X Gustav King of Sweden. In 1633, was negotiated between an unsuccessful marriage with Christine Bernhard of Saxe- Weimar.

After her mother's death, Christine Magdalene was commissioned by the Swedish Empire stands with overseeing the education of the Swedish Queen Christina. This led to her marriage 1642.

Christine Magdalene married on November 30, 1642 in Stockholm Margrave Frederick VI. of Baden-Durlach ( 1617-1677 ). In 1656, the Countess received from her brother Charles X. Kutzenhausen, which in 1705 sold the Marquis to the Counts of Hanau.

The Margravine described as excellent was buried in the royal crypt Pforzheimer.
