Christine Aaftink

Christine Jacoba Aaftink ( born August 25, 1966 in Abcoude ) is a former Dutch speed skater. Between 1987 and 1996 she won the national Dutch championships 19 title and took part in three time Olympic Winter Games.

Career

Aaftink was in the late 1980s and early 1990s in their home country on the sprint distances the dominant runner. She won the national sprint championships between 1987 and 1994 seven times and was on the individual distances over 500 yards seven times in a row and more than 1000 meters five times in a row, Dutch Champion.

International she landed after her debut in the World Cup in November 1986 with an eighth place finish at the Sprint World Championships in 1988 in the American West Allis a first moderate success.
