Christine Boutin

Christine Boutin ( born February 6, 1944 in Levroux ( Indre ) ) is a French politician. She founded in 2001 the party forum of républicains sociaux (FRS ) and in 2002 was candidate for the state presidency. From 2007 to 2009 she was Minister for Housing and Urban Development in the government of Prime Minister François Fillon.

Background and education

Christine Boutin is the daughter of journalist Xavier Martin and the former journalist Bernadette Durand. Like her parents also worked as a journalist Christine. It is with the computer Louis Boutin, her first cousin, married and has three children.
