Christoph Jank

Christoph Jank ( born October 14, 1973 in Zwettl ) is an Austrian football player. He is the older brother of Alexander Jank, who is also a professional footballer.

Career

Before he started his professional career, Christoph Jank began his career at amateur club SV Wiener Kagran. About Vienna, ASKOE Klingenbachstrasse and SK Vorwärts Steyr, the trained defenders in 1999 finally came to SV Austria Salzburg. In the 1999/2000 season he reached with Austria Salzburg the Cupendspiel which can not compete Grazer AK went narrowly lost with 3:4 after a 2-2 draw after extra time in the penalty shootout.

After the takeover of Austria Salzburg by Red Bull in June 2005 Jank flirted with another club, and also had offers from the German Second Division and from the first Greek league. After coach Kurt Jara, however, had clear support for the whereabouts of the relevant team defender, Jank extended his contract in Salzburg for a further year until 2006.

From the 2006/07 season played the 34 -year-old central defender in the SV Ried.

In summer 2008, he moved to the Eastern League to relegation from the First Division SC -ESV Parndorf 1919.
