Christoph Riegler (born 30 March 1992 Ybbs an der Donau) is an Austrian football goalkeeper, who is currently the SKN St. Pölten is under contract and for the professional as well as amateur team will be used.
Career
Career start at ASK Ybbs
Riegler began his active career as a soccer goalkeeper at the age of eight years in May 2000 at the time already financially strapped ASK Ybbs in Lower Austria township Ybbs on the Danube. In today still in active unterklassigen football club, the young goalkeeper went through a variety of youth leagues, before an offer of SK Rapid Wien received in 2006, who wanted to bring him into the club offspring. For the Viennese, however Riegler enjoyed only a brief, albeit instructive training and already came with the end of March 2007, exactly on his 15th birthday, back in Lower Austria.
There he was immediately admitted to the AKA St. Pölten, in which he henceforth was used for the various academy teams. Although his talent came Riegler in the 2008 / 09 season, not for the U-19 team in the Toto -sponsored U-19 Youth League used that with a decent lead won the championship title in the rest of the season on their pursuers. He also belonged in this season also the cadre of highly successful U-18 youth team, which was used in a small Lower Austrian Development League. Without use of the former Rapid young player's clearly dominating St. Pölten team reached the championship title in this league and with a goal difference of 112 and 18 wins and a draw from 20 completed game. Meanwhile Riegler played mainly in the U-17 Academy team with game operation in the Toto U-17 Youth League and acted there mostly as goalkeeper. With the team he reached the runner-up title behind the U-17 team from Linz in the 2008 /09 season.
Also in the same season Riegler graduated two games for the second U-17 Academy team with gaming operations in a Lower Austrian U-17 Development League and sat in some other games einsatzlos on the bench. End of the season, the dominant of Saisonbeginnan team took with a goal difference of 145 and 24 wins and a draw from 26 matches the title. In his senior year at the Academy Riegler came mainly in the Toto U-19 Youth League used and reached the team a fourth place in the final standings. In addition, by this time the 18 -year-old secured to the U-18 Academy team in the small Lower Austrian U-18 Development League for the umpteenth time the championship. Riegler brought it here on seven championship stakes, in other games he sat on the bench.
National league and pro debut
After a quite successful time in the Academy of Lower Austrian capital, the young goalkeeper managed before the season 2010/11 the leap into senior football, where he was first taken up by the SKN St. Pölten in their second team with gaming operations in the first Lower Austrian league and then managed in the senior squad. Finally up to his actual league debut in senior football, it took until August 2010. Having had already come in some friendlies for use, Riegler was 21 August 2010 his Lord 's debut, as he prepares for the national league team in a 1-2 home defeat by ASK Bad Vöslau over the full duration guarded the gate of St. Pölten.
Not even two months after its debut in senior football Riegler had already made his debut in professional football, as in a 1-0 success he was on 15 October 2010 on the SC Austria Lustenau over the full 90 minutes in the gate of his team, while the injured goalkeeper Thomas " Tommy" Vollnhofer replaced. Immediately on his second professional use on the following Gameday Riegler was a 4-3 away win over Vienna by far a discount Torlage for Florian Hofer cell 1-0 ahead after 17 minutes. To date (as of October 29, 2010 ) it brought the 1.83 m wide keeper on three missions in the first Lower Austrian league and four inserts in the professional team of the club.
