Christophe Point

Christophe Point ( born May 26, 1965 in Nantes ) is a French former football player and later coach.

Playing career

In his youth Points played for an amateur club FC Yonnais before he was admitted in 1976 with eleven years in the youth team of SM Caen. He was 16 years old when he first managed the leap into the third division football team in the course of the season 1981/82; age of 18 he became a regular player and reached 1984 promotion to the second highest French league. Following this, the young players retained his place in a team that growth through numerous talents recorded in the second half of the 1980s. In 1988, he accomplished this with the jump in the first division, and has preserved the club as a regular player before re descent.

Over the years, he remained loyal to the club and had repeatedly its share of the league whereabouts until he suffered a serious knee injury in the season 1991/92 and turned out for a longer period. After that he managed not only return to the team, but debuted in 1992 at the same time in European competition.
