Christopher Budd (bishop)

Hugh Christopher Budd ( born May 27, 1937 in Romford ) is an English Roman Catholic priest and Bishop Emeritus of Plymouth.

Life

Hugh Christopher Budd received on 8 July 1962, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Brentwood.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 19 July 1985 for the Bishop of Plymouth. He received his episcopal consecration of Bishop Emeritus of Plymouth, Cyril Edward Restieaux, on January 15 of next year; Co-consecrators were Michael George Bowen, Archbishop of Southwark, and Thomas McMahon, Bishop of Brentwood.

On November 9, 2013 Francis Pope accepted his resignation age-related.
