Chryst

KorovaKill is an Austrian avant-garde metal band. It emerged from the defunct band Korova in 2000. The cast consists of singer and guitarist Christof Niederwieser (including Angie Stone ), drummer Moritz Neuner (including Dornenreich, Abigor, Atrocity, Graveworm and Leaves' Eyes) and keyboardist Renaud Tschirner ( misery ).

Band History

The core cast of KorovaKill was active as Korova in the 1990s. Her two albums A Kiss in the Charnel Fields ( 1995) and Dead Like an Angel (1998 ) are among the early works of avant-garde metal movement. Korova was dissolved in 2000 and a few months later reformed as KorovaKill. Published in 2001 KorovaKill the album Water shells on the American label Red Stream. The album was produced by Markus Stock and contains 12 songs that seamlessly merge into each other and form an overall concept. It's about a man who wakes up with no memory in the middle the sea drifting and then sinks down into the depths.

The first and only album Water Hells was elected in late 2009 by the readers of web magazine avant-garde Metal.com in the top 10 of the most important avant-garde metal albums of the decade.

2011 gave KorovaKill her comeback known. 10 years after the concept album Water Hells PhantasmaChronica to be published in September 2011. The band also announced its name change to Chryst.
