Chuckie (DJ)

Chuckie (* June 25, 1978 in Paramaribo ( Suriname), real name Clyde Sergio Narain ) is a Dutch DJ.

Career

Born and raised Chuckie in Suriname, where he began his musical career at the age of 13 years. Only later he came to the Netherlands, where he established himself as a DJ in 2005. This year he had his first big concert in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam before 5500 spectators. He could also place several singles in the lower courses of the Top 40.

His international breakthrough was the DJ in 2008 with the play Let the bass kick. So he could be in the extended UK chart position ( number 90 ) and made him well known in the United States. There is a bootleg mix arose from his song and I'm in Miami Trick by LMFAO. The end of 2009, it appeared as an official single in the UK and came immediately into the top 10 of the charts. In 2008 he also played the opening on the Sensation in Amsterdam nearly 30,000 visitors, which gave him additional notoriety.

In 2010 he founded the music label Dirty Dutch Records, under which he published his songs.

Chuckie has been awarded at the MOBO awards twice as Best Urban DJ and won the TMF Awards in the Netherlands in 2009 for Best DJ. In the British magazine DJ Magazine he was chosen by the fans at number 37 of the top 100 DJs in the world in 2010. In 2011 he could still be improved by a further 5 places.
