Church's Chicken is an American fast food restaurant chain that specializes in fried chicken and other fast food. George W. Church founded the first restaurant in 1952 in San Antonio.

History

In 1952 the first store in San Antonio. However, this only sold products with chicken parts. In 1955 the range was extended to include French fries and jalapeños. After a short time, more and more branches were opened in the United States. 1979 Church's Chicken restaurants were founded in Mexico, Canada and Indonesia for the first time. In addition, branches exist in Curacao, Egypt, Guyana, Honduras, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Georgia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela and Vietnam. Worldwide, there are over 1700 stores. Friedman Fleischer & Lowe bought the company in 2009.
