Chvalnov-Lísky

Chvalnov - Lísky is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 19 kilometers south-west of Kroměříž and belongs to Okres Kroměříž.

Geography

Chvalnov - Lísky is located at the northern foot of the mountain on Mars transition to Littentschitzer Bergland. The municipality is located in the valleys of the streams Litavka and Chvalnovský creek. Against the southeast extends the natural park Chřiby. To the northeast, the Lášovec (372 m) and the Chlum rise (402 m ) in the east of ŠPILBERK (415 m) and the Pláňava ( 569 m ) southeast of the Dlouhy (397 m), the Pěkná hora (560 m), Mořdířka (559 m) and Holý kopec (547 m), in the south of the Malá Jivina (517 m) and the Hrad (551 m ) and northwest of the Na pasekách (380 m).

Neighboring towns are Nový Dvůr Marie and Strabenice in the north, Rozárov, Roštín and Cetechovice in the northeast, Prusinovka, Vlčák and Jankovice in the east, Staré Hutě the southeast, Zástřizly and Střílky in the south, Kožušice and Malínky the southwest, Dobročkovice in the west and Nemochovice, Kunkovice and Nítkovice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village Stary Chwalnow, Nowy Chwalnow and Lisci took place in 1382, when they were entered in the land board in 1371, as the property of Hartleb of Kunkovice from the Vladikengeschlecht of Zástřizl. From 1386 there is talk only of a village Chwalnow. 1490 were connected to the rule Litenčice Chvalnov and Lísky. The meantime extinct village Lisky was repopulated in the early 18th century. By the middle of the 19th century both villages remained submissive after Litenčice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Chvalnov and Lísky formed in 1850 two municipalities in the District Commission Kremsier. With the beginning of 1961 the merger to community Chvalnov - Lísky was.
