Chynorany

Chynorany (Hungarian Kinorány - to 1907 Chinorán ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

Location

It is located in the Danube hills on the northern shore of Nitra, between the towns Partizánske (10 km) and Topoľčany (12 km). The town has a station on the railway line Nové Zámky - Prievidza and the route to Trencin branches in place.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1387 as Herenen. The village has a Catholic church from the years 1784-87.
