Cieszyno, Åšwidwin County

Cieszyno ( German Name: Tesch Busch) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is part of the rural municipality ( gmina wiejska ) Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) in the district Świdwin.

Geographical Location

Cieszyno located five kilometers north-west of Świdwin on the road to Lekowo ( Leckow ). Świdwin station is on the railway line Stargard - Gdańsk.

History

For the first time Tesch Busch is mentioned in 1629 in a document. Back then, Tesch Busch " a desert field mark ". Thus, the village seems to have been well founded until the 17th century.

In the year 1877 12000 Finke Eye ( 2950 grams twelve - lotigen silver ) were plowed in the vicinity of the place.

In 1894, three farmers were counted in Tesch bush. The population in 1939 amounted to 146 persons in 36 households. The municipality area was 668 hectares.

Seed grain and seed potatoes were grown on soils from simple manor and four pawns. The estate also entertained a 300 -strong flock of sheep.

By 1932, Tesch bush belonged to the district Schivelbein until this in the county Belgard ( Persante ) was incorporated. Tesch bush the official and the civil registry district Wopersnow was zugeowrdnet. The local court was Schivelbein.

In March 1945, Tesch Busch was occupied by Russian troops. The local population was expelled. The place came as Cieszyno under Polish administration and is now part of Gmina Świdwin - and now again in the district Schivelbein.

Church

Tesch bush belonged until 1945 to the parish Leckow in the parish church in the county Rützenhagen Schivelbein the Church Province of Pomerania in the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union. Last German clergyman was Dr.jur. Walter Lüdke.

Today Cieszyno lies in the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) of the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church.
