Cillian Sheridan

Cillian Sheridan ( born February 23, 1989 in Bailieborough ) is an Irish football player. He plays since September 2012 for the FC Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League.

Career

Sheridan began his career at Belvedere FC before he was brought into the first team of Celtic Glasgow 2007. His debut in Scotland he gave on 20 May 2007 at the Champions Playoff against Hibernian. He came on in the 88th minute for Craig Beattie. The game in Edinburgh was lost 1:2. At the end of Celtic was Scottish champion and cup winner. In the following season the Irishman came again in the championship playoff to use one. Celtic managed to defend the title. 2008/ 09 he was already used in the fall and came to twelve games, further he scored four goals. His first succeeded Sheridan October 25, 2008 against Hibernian.

In February 2009, he was loaned to FC Motherwell, whose squad he served until the end of season. The association was with the Left Wing Seventh. Then he worked for half a year to England to Plymouth Argyle. He left the second highest English league in the winter and then returned to Scotland to FC St. Johnstone. At the end of eighth place overall was achieved.

In summer 2010, Sheridan has signed a contract with CSKA Sofia Bulgarian runner. With the Bulgarians, he made his debut at European club level. In the play-off match to qualify for the Europa League against the representative from Wales The New Saints FC on 19 August 2010, he appeared as a substitute in the 54th minute. The game was won 3-0. The breakthrough was, however, wait in Sofia on and so he spent his second year of the contract on loan again in Scotland, the FC St. Johnstone.

Shortly after the beginning of the season 2012/13 CSKA Sofia Sheridan was finally free for a change and so this signed in September 2012 a contract for two years with another Scottish first division club - FC Kilmarnock .. Already in his third league use for " Killie " shot he all the goals for a 3-1 win at Heart of Midlothian.

National

His debut in the Irish senior team gave Sheridan on 25 May 2010 in a friendly against Paraguay. He came on in the 63rd minute for Robbie Keane. The game was won 2-1 in Dublin.
