Cín Dromma Snechtai

Lebor Dromma Snechta [' L ʴ efore ' droma ' ʃn ʴ exta ] (" The Book of Druim Snechta " ), or CIN Dromma Snechta [ k'i ː n ʴ ' droma ' ʃn ʴ exta ] (" The issue of Druim Snechta " ) is the name of a collective work in the Old Irish language, which was probably written after the 7th century. The name is derived from the monastery Druim (m) Snechta ( Drumsnat, County Monaghan ), where it should have been created or preserved. This monastery was founded in the 6th century.

The manuscript is lost, it is only known from later manuscripts from the 16th century, where it is mentioned as the source. The age of the Lebor Dromma Snechta can be determined indirectly by Rudolf Thurneysen from the information provided in these works. It is considered one of the greatest compilations of old Irish legends, 130 secure prose texts were at least find it.
