Cindytalk

Cindy Talk is a music group that is best classified in the category of experimental music. The Scottish musician Gordon Sharp ( born 1961 ) is still more durable and resistant to the leading head of the band.

History

The start time

Cindytalk went in 1982 with the founding members Gordon Sharp ( vocals) and David Clancy (guitar, keyboards) from the Edinburgh Punk and New Wave band The Freeze out. The Freeze (1976-1982) released two singles, took two sessions with John Peel and played to assist in various well-known bands of the time in the UK.

After Cindytalk had settled in London in 1982, the band began work on their debut album Camouflage Heart, which is with his new, darker and more fragmented sound influenced both by the post-punk and by the early European industrial music. In 1983, John Byrne joined to Sharp and Clancy and proved to be excellent addition to Cindy Talks grueling sound collages.

In 1983, Sharp a John Peel Session with the equally Scottish Cocteau Twins on ( Dear Heart at a later UK release of the album Garlands ), which led to a meeting with the boss Ivo Watts - Russell of 4AD, which it finally in the same year to recordings invited by This Mortal coil debut EP Sixteen Days / Gathering Dust. Sharp was thus next to Lisa Gerrard and Elizabeth Frazer of a particular singer presented on the debut album It'll End in Tears by This Mortal Coil from the year 1984. At the same time the debut album Camouflage Heart was noted by the British music press and reached number 22 in the UK Independent Chart. Shortly after the publication of David Clancy left the band and was replaced by the siblings Alex and Debbie Wright. Over the next three years, the monumental work In This World was created. Here are two albums whose cover of Kathy Patterson are designed. The first album is full of fragmented and noisy moments, whereas the second documented the rather quiet, but also often experimental piano improvisations Sharps. The song Janey 's Love was created in collaboration with the punk -author Kathy Acker.

Bambule

The electronic project Bambule began in 1994 with a collaboration between Sharp and Carmichael.

Presence
