Citizen Fish

Citizen Fish is a company incorporated in the early 1990s, ska punk band. The name refers to the contradictory balance of the human character of ( the Citizen (citizen ), which is concentrated by work, deadlines, rules and laws and the free, naturally standing on top of things Fish).

Band History

The band comes from the area of Bath, England, and was founded by Dick Lucas (vocals / lyrics ), Jasper ( bass), Trotsky (drums) and Larry ( guitar). After their first album, Free Souls in a Trapped Environment, Larry left the band and was replaced by Phil, who played earlier together with Dick and Trotsky at the Subhumans. In July 2006, Trotsky was replaced by Silas on drums.

After a five year hiatus, the band returned in August 2006 back into the studio to record an album together along with Leftover Crack.

The band is known for their lyrics, which often make strong social or political statements. Topics include vegetarianism (all in the band are vegetarians), anti- consumerism and questioning the status quo. They support the DIY and organize their concerts as well as the design and distribution of its plates themselves.
