Citroën C-Crosser

The Citroën C -Crosser is the first SUV from the French automaker Citroën. The PSA Group developed the C -Crosser, together with its sister model Peugeot 4007 based on the Mitsubishi Outlander. The PSA models are manufactured by Mitsubishi in Japan, since 2008, the Outlander is built at Mitsubishi 's subsidiary Nedcar in the Netherlands.

The Citroën C -Crosser was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007 for the first time and came in July 2007 on the German market.

Since market introduction there is the C -Crosser with a new 2.2-liter HDi diesel engine (115 kW/156 hp) with particulate filter and six-speed manual transmission. The engine has a maximum torque of 380 Nm, which it passes simultaneously through an electronically controlled multiplate clutch automatically to the front wheels or all four wheels. As of November 2007, there was also a PRO -2 ,4- liter four- cylinder petrol engine developed from the cooperation of Mitsubishi, Daimler- Chrysler and Hyundai (so-called " world engine") with 125 kW ( 170 hp ) and 232 Nm of torque, the is no longer installed since early 2012 in the PSA models, but is still used in the Mitsubishi Outlander. Furthermore, the car has seven seats, the third row of seats is lowered completely in the trunk floor.

In the spring of 2013, the production of the C -Crosser has been set.
