The City Under the Sea is an adventure film from 1953 from director Budd Boetticher, with Robert Ryan and Anthony Quinn. It is based on the book Port Royal: The Ghost City Beneath the Sea by Harry E. Rieseberg.

Action

Brad and Tony are rescue divers in Jamaica. One day they are hired by Dwight Trevor to find the The Lady Luck, a ship, which is probably sunk with all passengers and gold bars worth 1 million U.S. dollars.

From the ship is no trace. But there is a sunken city, the city of Port Royal, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1692.
