Ciudad Obregon is a city in the Mexican state of Sonora. Ciudad Obregon is the administrative center of the municipality Cajeme and seat of the diocese of Ciudad Obregón.

Ciudad Obregón has about 300,000 inhabitants, making it the second largest city of Hermosillo in the state. An international airport ( IATA code CEN) is located a few kilometers outside the city.

The city was founded in 1928 and is named after General Álvaro Obregón. The geographical location in the center of the fertile Yaqui Valley, the area is heavily influenced by agriculture.
