Claire Foy
Claire Foy ( born April 16, 1984 in Stockport, England) is a British actress. Notoriety she gained primarily as Amy Dorrit in the Charles Dickens adaptation Little Dorrit and as Erin Matthews in the TV mini- series Promised Land.
Life
Claire Foy was born on 16 April 1984 as Jüngeste of three siblings in Stockport in Greater Manchester, she grew up in Manchester and Leeds. Later the family moved to Long Wick in Buckinghamshire. Her parents divorced when she was 8 years old. Foy attended Aylesbury High School and the Liverpool John Moores University, where she studied drama ( drama ) and Screen Studies (film). She then attended the Oxford School of Drama for one year.
After graduating in 2007, she moved in with " five friends from drama school " in a house in London. Claire Foy is in a relationship with actor Stephen Campbell Moore, whom she met during the filming of The Last Templar.
Acting Career
Foy first played in several theater productions: Top Girls, Watership Down, Easy Virtue and Touched before 2008 received their first nominated for RTS Award role in the BBC miniseries Little Dorrit. Your first professional stage appearance in the two one-act plays DNA and The Miracle by Paul Miller at London's Royal National Theatre.
After that, she played among others as Lady Persephone in the BBC TV series returning to Upstairs Downstairs remake, as well as the lead role in the television film The Night Watch, which is based on a novel by Sarah Waters.
As Adora Belle lovers heart in Terry Pratchett 's Going Postal ( based on the novel From the post by Terry Pratchett ) she played alongside Charles Dance and The Last Templar next to Nicolas Cage.
The four-part drama Promised Land by Peter Kosminsky, where Foy plays another starring role was in 2011 awarded the One World Drama price.
