Claire Holt
Claire Holt ( born June 11, 1988 in Brisbane, Queensland as Claire Rhiannon Holt Serenity ) is an Australian actress. She is best known for her role as Emma Gilbert in the Australian youth series H2O - Just Add Water which she played from 2006 to 2008 and in her role as Rebekah in Vampire Diaries. Aside from acting, Holt has appeared in advertisements for Dreamworld, Sizzler and Queensland Lifesaving.
Life and career
Claire Holt was born in the capital of the Australian state of Queensland. She visited there in the Toowong area Stuartholme High School, where she took part early in the school choir and the drama lessons. In addition to the regular classes she took additional private lessons in drama. Her first role was Holt in the Australian youth series H2O - Just Add Water, in which she appeared from 2006 to 2008 as Emma Gilbert. On 20 October 2007 she along with her co-stars Phoebe Tonkin and Cariba Heine in the UK Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. As the Australian Network Ten stations still chose a third season of H2O to produce, Holt, however, declined because she wanted to meet new challenges. In 2009, she was in the role of Lindsey Rollins in the prequel Messengers 2: to see the movie The Messengers in 2007 The Scarecrow. This direct-to- video film was shot in Sofia in 2008.
In 2011 she starred alongside Meaghan Jette Martin, Jennifer Stone, Maiara Walsh and Nicole Anderson the role of Chastity Meyer in the TV movie Mean Girls 2 - Caution snappy! . Furthermore, she appeared in 2011 in a supporting role in the TV series Pretty Little Liars as Samara Cook. She was also in 2011 in the The CW series Vampire Diaries the role of Urvampirin Rebekah Mika Elson, they also embodied in its spin -off The original from 2013. Holt left the series after 16 episodes broadcast.
