Clarence Goodson

Clarence Goodson ( born May 17, 1982 in Alexandria, Virginia) is an American football player. The defender plays for Brøndby IF in Denmark.

Career

Youth and College

Goodson attended Annandale High School in Annandale, Virginia, and the Wilbert Tucker Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia. During his time in Annandale, he was appointed major players of the school. Also, set a new goal and points record during his sophomore year in 1998. With the school team, the WT Woodson High School in 2000, he won the Virginia State High School Soccer title. Besides school, he played with the Braddock Road Warhawks and won the 1999 National Championship U- 17 teams.

In 2000 he moved after his high school graduation at the University of Maryland. During his three years with the Maryland Terrapins, the football team of the University, he completed 66 games and scored 10 goals.

FC Dallas

After college, he signed a Project -40 contract with Major League Soccer and was able to participate in the MLS SuperDraft 2004. He was drafted by Dallas Burn. In his first year he played a total of 247 minutes in five games. In the 2005 season, Dallas Burn had already been renamed to FC Dallas, he became a regular player in the team. On November 21, 2007, he was selected by the San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS Expansion Draft. Goodson explained it to want to go take a new contract more with the MLS.

IK Start

Thus, he moved to Norway in early 2008 to IK Start. Should he again want to return to the MLS, the Earthquakes continue to own the rights to him. For the Norwegians, he convinced with good performance and was even voted one of the best Americans in the Eurasian space.

Brøndby IF
