Clarence Kelly

Clarence James Kelly ( born 1941 ) is a sedisvakantistischer Catholic bishop.

Life

Clarence Kelly was born on 13 April 1973 in Ecône by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre of the Society of St. Pius X. ( Order code: SSPX ) ordained a priest.

Kelly was District Superior of the SSPX in the United States. In 1983 he was expelled, together with eight other priests of the SSPX, in part because they had refused to the Missal of John XXIII. to use and to name John Paul II in measuring canon. The excluded priests formed the sedisvakantistische " Society of St. Pius V. " ( Order code: SSPV ), which questioned the legitimacy of the liturgical reforms since 1958 in question. Most priests of SSPV, including Daniel Dolan, Donald J. Sanborn and Anthony Cekada, broke away again from the SSPV, partly because of their denial of the validity of the Thuc consecrations by - Kelly and others, partly because they have a more open structure for the sedisvakantistischen desired position. Sanborn and Dolan were consecrated later in the Thuc - line bishops.

Clarence Kelly was consecrated in Carlsbad, a seaside resort between Los Angeles and San Diego in California, by Alfredo Méndez -Gonzalez, bishop emeritus of Arecibo, Puerto Rico on 19 October 1993 to the bishop. In 1984, the Congregation of the Daughters of Kelly Mary, whose mother house is located in Round Top, New York ( in Greene County ( New York)) south of Albany is located.
