Clarksville (also known as Clarksville Junction ) is a small village three kilometers south-west of Milton in Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand. The State Highway 8 where it meets State Highway 1 The place was until 1968 also the site of a railway junction, where the Roxburgh Branch leaves the Main South Line. 1907 2.8 km long line was built parallel to the main route to Milton to improve railway operations. Until the closure of this stretch on September 19, 1960 more Milton was the connection point as Clarksville.
