Claude Bernard University Lyon 1
The University of Lyon I ( Université Claude Bernard, UCBL ) founded in 1833 is the successor of the Faculty of Sciences of Lyon and founded in 1874 Faculty of Medicine.
The main campus is La Doua in Villeurbanne. Other university buildings can be found in the district Rockefeller, in the hospital and in the south Lyon Gerland district.
