Clemens von Raglovich

Baron Clemens of Raglovich (* June 29, 1766 in Dillingen, † June 3, 1836 in Munich) was a Bavarian General of Infantry in the Napoleonic Wars.

Born as the son of Major Raglovich was first officer in the Swabian circle contingent of the Imperial Army. He fought from 1793 to 1796 on the Rhine and in 1799 in northern Italy, where he was severely wounded in the battle of Novi. As Dillingen came to Bavaria, he was adopted into the kurbayerische army and distinguished himself in the campaigns of 1805, 1806/ 07 and 1809; in the latter, he was Chief of Staff of the Bavarian 1st Division. In the Russian campaign of 1812 he was wounded in the same early in the First Battle of Polotsk and returned to recovery in the home. In 1813 he commanded the newly formed for France Bavarian Division in Prussia and distinguished himself in the battles of Bautzen and Dennewitzplatz as troop leaders. In 1814 he oversaw the establishment of the Bavarian reserve army the following year he commanded the 1st Division. In 1817 he became director of the topographical bureau, 1820 Chief of Staff, he reorganized the times. In 1821 he was made an honorary member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences. At his death he was Imperial Council and General of Infantry.
