Cletus Joseph Benjamin

Cletus Joseph Benjamin ( born May 2, 1909 in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, USA, † May 15, 1961 ) was Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia.

Life

Cletus Joseph Benjamin received on 8 December 1935, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On August 17, 1960, he was named by Pope John XXIII. Titular Bishop of Binda and auxiliary bishop in Philadelphia. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Egidio Vagnozzi, donated to him on 22 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, Joseph Mark McShea, and the Bishop of Altoona - Johnstown, Joseph Carroll McCormick.
