Close ( German: close, close ) is the sixth studio album by British singer Kim Wilde. It was released in May 1988 and produced by her brother Ricky Wilde and Tony Swain. It was with top - 10 finishes in all of Europe one of their most successful albums ever and included successful singles.

Background information

The album was released in Europe and was a great success. The singles sold so well that Kim Wilde by Michael Jackson has been arranged for his Bad tour as opening act. The album was also released in Australia and the U.S., but where it could not reach high positions in the charts. In the U.S. charts, it does not even reach the top 100. In the UK it is their first album in Select, from 1982, not flopped.

Singles

The first single Hey Mr. Heartache was coupled out in April 1988. The song reached the German top 15 among others, and became a big hit in Norway.

The second single You Came, published in July 1988, became one of the largest Kim Wilde hits at all. He reached the top 10 in Europe and was also released in the U.S., where the song just missed the top 40.

With published in the September 1988 single Never Trust a Stranger Kim Wilde could build on the success and reach high chart positions again. With the fourth single Four Letter Word, which was released in November 1988, the singer reached the top 10 in the UK. In addition, this was their first ballad as a single.

The fifth single Love in the Natural Way was published in February 1989 only in the British Isles and just missed the top British 30th
