Cobalt (II ) fluoride can be obtained with hydrofluoric acid by reaction of the cobalt (II ) chloride or cobalt (II) carbonate.
Properties
Cobalt (II ) fluoride is a rose-colored solid which is slightly soluble in water. He has a crystal structure of rutile type and also occurs as a di-, tri-and tetra-hydrate.
Use
Cobalt (II ) fluoride can also be used as a catalyst for the production of perfluorocarbons.
