Codex Coislinianus

Codex Coislinianus ( Gregory -Aland no Hp or 015; von Soden α 1022) is a Greek manuscript of the Pauline Epistles, which is dated to the 6th century.

Description

The Codex Coislinianus consists of 41 described parchment leaves (30 x 25 cm). A native of the Fund Coislin Codex is in the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris and in seven other libraries stored ( Athos, Kiev, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Turin).

The Greek text of Codex Coislinianus represents the Alexandrian text-type. The text of the Codex is assigned to category III.

The manuscript was examined by Johann Jakob Griesbach (1745-1812), Kirsopp Lake (1872-1946) and Henri Omont ( 1857-1940 ).
