The collection of Swiss legal sources ( SSRQ ), French: Collection des sources du droit suisse (SDS ), Italian collana Fonti del diritto svizzero (FDS ) is a collection of critical editions of historical legal documents (so-called sources of law ), on the territory of present Switzerland were created from the early Middle ages to 1798.

The collection is published by the Law Sources Foundation of the Swiss Lawyers Association. The Foundation was established in 1894 for this purpose under the name of a source of law Commission.

Since then, over one hundred volumes ( over 60,000 pages) were published source material in the form of source editions.

The primary sources are manuscripts or early prints, which were transcribed and annotated in historically and regionally different forms in German, French, Italian, Romansh and Latin. The critical apparatus are German, French or Italian. The aim of the collection is to be made available to the sources of legal historians, jurists, historians and researchers from other disciplines and interested laymen. Most older books contain a total register; newer books are equipped with two registers ( a register of places and persons, and a subject index ).

The collection is organized according to modern cantons ( called "Departments", numbered in order of appearance in the Federal Constitution).

Currently (February 2011) covers the collection of Swiss legal sources 17 of the 26 Swiss cantons in varying degrees. The edition of the collection is an ongoing project and further volumes are in preparation. The Foundation is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, various foundations, individual cantons, etc..
