Colombo (crater)

Colombo is an impact crater on the Moon's front west of the Mare Fecunditatis, south of the crater Goclenius and northwest of Cook. The rim is eroded and terraced inward. The interior is, especially in the northwest, and flat in the center there are several peaks, the remains of a largely submerged central mountain are.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the discoverer of America, Christopher Columbus.
