Repertoire

The Colours of Gospel interpret contemporary gospel music in many-colored way. They are based on the American-style, as well as Christian hymn choir music, which is called in German English praise and worship, Worship. To illustrate this lively praise often come soloists used to the implement the typical call and response principle. At concerts, the choir will be accompanied by the band " Fools of Rhythm " in the occupation keyboard, electric guitar, electric bass and drums. This is in suitable premises complemented by a brass ensemble.

The repertoire consists mostly of traditional American gospel music, black gospel, white gospel and Negro Spirituals, which are arranged by the choir director Hans -Jörg Fiehl. But contemporary manifestations in the gospel scene as the Latin Gospel from the soundtrack of the movie " The Gospel " with the songs: " He Reigns " ( Kirk Franklin ), " Glorious " ( Martha Munizzi ) and "You Are Good" ( Greg Kirkland ) be taken up. The lyrics are in English.

It is the stated goal of the choir to preach by the dynamics and power of the Gospel to the Christian faith in churches and concert halls and confess and inspire believers, as well as unchurched concertgoers.
