The Visitors ( Communion ) is an American science fiction film directed by Philippe Mora from the year 1989. The script was written by Whitley Strieber after his book The Visitors. A True Story ( Original title:. Communion A True Story ), in which he reports on his alleged contact with representatives of extraterrestrial species " Greys ".

Action

The writer Whitley Strieber, his family and his friends spend in 1985 holiday in a villa. One day Strieber claims that he had had contact with aliens who have him medically examined. Most members do not believe him. He is being treated by a psychiatrist who uses hypnosis; only then he can not remember the details of the meeting.

Strieber tries to communicate with the aliens.

Reviews

Hal Hinson wrote in the Washington Post on November 11, 1989, the presentation of Christopher Walken was " irresistible " ( "irresistible "). After participating in the aliens only " slightly strange " ( "only slightly more peculiar" ) would act as the man.

The lexicon of international film wrote that the film was a " compassionate, non-violent sci-fi movie" " captivating " entertain and " excellent special effects " offer.
