Concept car

The term concept vehicle called an automotive design study.

Concept cars are the automobile manufacturers often as guinea pigs to test strong changes to the typical company design their audience suitability. These design studies revealed generally in the context of large automotive exhibitions. In fact, most concepts are discarded and never reach the series status.

Another type concept car are so-called feasibility studies. This is less the optical design in the foreground rather than the technical possibilities. For example, high-performance sports car with electric motors, or until some years ago hybrid cars, which are driven by a combination of gasoline engine and electric motor.
