Condega

Condega is a municipality ( municipio ) in the northwest of the Central American state of Nicaragua. It is part of the Department of Estelí, has an area of 398 km ² and a population of 30.000. The Munizipalhauptstadt Condega is located about 40 km north of the district capital of Estelí.
Geography
The Munizip consists of the town Condega with about 9,000 inhabitants, and 10 other communities ( comunidades ), which belong to a total of 64 villages.

The Pan-American Highway crosses the Munizipalgebiet from the north ( Ocotal ) to south ( Estelí ).
