Confederation of Chilean Students

Confederación de Estudiantes de Chile (short: Confech; German " Confederation Chilean students " ) is the national student organization of Chile. It unites the student organizations of most universities in the country.

Education protests in 2011

In 2011 Confech organized protests for reforms in the social and educational system. Were led to protests by the former geography student Camila Vallejo of the Universidad de Chile. It took the student movement also in negotiations with the government.
