Conila District

Conila is one of the 23 districts in the province of Northern Peru Luya in the region of the Amazon. The district capital is Cohechan.

Conila is the last remaining place where in 2003 all ages the traditional Chachapoyas Quechua languages, but among them were still more than 300 monolingual.

The village festival in the district capital Cohechan is celebrated on 24 June and in the village Conila on June 16.

In the north, the district borders the district Conila Jamalca, on the east by the district of Santa Catalina ( Luya ) and the district Luya Viejo ( Luya ) and on the south by the district Lonya Chico ( Luya ) and the district Ocallí and to the west by the district Camporredondo.
