Artabgrenzung

Likelihood of confusion mainly with other species of the genus ( Conocybe ), but also with various types of Rötlinge ( Entoloma ) Ackerl Inge ( Agrocybe ) and fertilizer charges.

Feed value

The odor fungus is, like most species of the genus Conocybe, inedible.

Distribution and ecology

The species is native to North America, but has also settled in Europe and occurs widely in Central Europe.

The main growth period usually lasts from July to September. The fungus grows scattered or gregarious in sunny locations, such as lawns, pastures or meadows, preferring fertilized green areas with loose soil. He is one of the typical meadow mushrooms. This includes the related genera of lice and fertilizer Ackerl rings, with their species Panaeolus foeniscecii and Agrocybe he pediades is often encountered. The only short-lived fruiting bodies appear in the spring to autumn, amplified at high temperature and humidity ( humidity ) and only last for 1-2 days. It happens that can collapse the fruiting bodies at an early stage of the midday sun.
