Conon (crater)

Conon is an impact crater on the Moon's front page in the Montes Apenninus, west of the crater Galen and north of the Sinus Fidei, by which the approximately 37 km long lunar groove Rima Conon runs in a north south direction.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek mathematician and astronomer Conon of Samos.
