Conotton Creek

The Conotton Creek is a 62.3 km long left tributary of the Tuscarawas River in the eastern U.S. state of Ohio. It drains an area of 741 km ² and is part of the river system of the Mississippi River. The outflow is via the Tuscarawas River, Muskingum River, Ohio River and Mississippi River into the Gulf of Mexico.

The Conotton Creek springs 4 km west of the town of Hopedale in eastern Harrison County to 376 m altitude. It flows generally in a northwesterly direction through the counties Harrison, Carroll and Tuscarawas and reached 1 km south of the mouth Zoarville in the Tuscarawas River at 265 m altitude. In the valley of the river ran from 1916 to 1988, the Wheeling Lake Erie Railroad line. On the former route of the Conotton Creek Trail has been created, a 18nbsp; km long cycle path which leads from Bowerston by Jewett.
