Console (musician)

Console is the solo electronic project of Martin Gretsch man, a German musician from Weilheim in Oberbayern. He is a member of indie band The Notwist and 13 & God. Gretsch man also published under the name Acid Pauli.

History

Martin Gretsch man already started in the early 1990s to play the bass in various independent rock bands, for example, at Toxic ( with Axel Fischer / git / voc, Matthias Foliage / dr, Christian Schröcker / git ), with which he, among other album "rail tracks" (collapse / Super Modern) and published numerous concerts played (among other things Support of the Notwist tour). Only in 1996 began Gretsch man to make electronic music under the name Console and was at the same time member of The Notwist. In 1997 the debut album "Pan Or Ama " appeared in the Weilheim-based label Payola. Followed in 1999 with " 14 Zero Zero " his most successful single. In 2001 he published his piece " Crabcraft " virtually unchanged as " Heirloom " on request by Björk on her album Vespertine.

Since 1998 Console also works with the radio play author Andreas Ammer. It such pieces as "On the tracks" or " Spaceman '85 ", with which the two also tour through Germany. With " Have You Ever Heard Of Wilhelm Reich? " (2009) were the two inter alia, on the Fusion Festival. Finally, the production appeared "The Birds --- by Oskar Sala ".

In 2005 Gretsch man opened with Peter Wacha, Dorothea Zenker, Richard Rieger, Bernd Bergmann and Sven Künast the Munich club Rote Sonne.
