Constantin Frățilă

Constantin Frăţilă ( born October 1, 1942 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player. The striker played a total of 221 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A, and was top scorer of the season 1963/64.

Career as a player

The career of Frăţilă began in his hometown of Bucharest Dinamo Bucharest, where he came into the squad for the first team in the 1960/61 season. On April 16, 1961 he got there his first appearance in the highest Romanian league, the Divizia A (now League 1). Even in his first season he was able to achieve seven goals in seven games and develop team regular.

In the following years Frăţilă win was an important part of the team and with Dinamo in the years 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1965 four times in a row, the Romanian championship. In the season 1963/64, he secured additionally with Cornel Pavlovici with 19 goals, the top scorer. During the ten years at Dinamo, he also won the Romanian Cup in 1964 and 1968.

In 1970 Frăţilă left the capital and moved on to league rivals FC Arges Pitesti. There he was able to secure his fifth championship in the 1971/72 season. After two years, he moved first to Sportul Studenţesc, already in the autumn of 1972, he moved abroad to Omonia Nicosia. His time in Cyprus, he crowned with the Cup victory in 1974.

In the summer of 1974 Frăţilă returned to Romania and joined the Divizia A climber Chimia Râmnicu Vâlcea. However, in Chimia he did not, as expected for the course and moved into the winter break in the Divizia C to Sirena Bucharest, where he finished his career in 1975.

National

Constantin Frăţilă played seven games for the Romanian national football team. He had in the European Championship qualifier against Switzerland when he shot his colors with three hits on November 2, 1966 His debut victory. Also in the following games built coach Ilie Oană on him and Frăţilă paid the trust back with goals. However, he only came on seven missions in which he was able to achieve seven goals. His last international match was on 22 March 1967 friendly against France.

Career as a coach

In the 1984/85 season Frăţilă was head coach of the FC Baia Mare in Divizia A, but had to finish the season with the club descend.
