Cor Pot

Gert Cornelius Aldrik Pot (born 8 July 1951 in The Hague), in short: Cor Pot, is a former Dutch football player and current coach. He currently coaches the Netherlands U -21 national football team.

Career as a player

Cor Pot comes from the junior level of Ajax Amsterdam. His professional career, he completed 1969-1981 Sparta Rotterdam, MVV Maastricht the HFC Haarlem as well as Excelsior Rotterdam. Appearances in the national team did not complete pot.

Career as a coach

Between 1983 and 1987 he acted at Feyenoord and Excelsior Rotterdam at first as an assistant coach, following supervised Pot to 1994, the teams of the RBC Roosendaal, NAC Breda and Excelsior Rotterdam again. After a brief interlude in Egypt he again returned as an assistant coach, this time to Telstar, the Netherlands. In 2000 Pot for the recently released Colin Bell 's new coach at Dynamo Dresden was. The time at Dynamo was dominated by chaos. Pot should lead the Saxons of the league again in the Regional area. He then coached various youth teams of the KNVB (2003-2004, the U -21 national football team ). 2006 brought him as an assistant coach Dick Advocaat Zenit Saint Petersburg, where he won the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup in addition to the Russian championship (2007) in 2008. Since 2009 Pot trained again the Dutch U -21 national football team.
