Junior males of the dragonfly Falk ( Cordulia Aenea )

The Falk Dragonflies ( Cordulia ) are a dragonfly genus of the subfamily Corduliinae, are summarized in the three species. The genus was established in 1815 by Leach. The name of the genus hints at the shape of the tapered back and abdomen translates lobe.

Features

Falk dragonflies are especially on the chest (thorax ) and the first abdominal segments hairy dragonflies. From the third segment of the abdomen is hairy only on the bottom. While the hair is yellow- brown, the bronze green body color shows through. The wings are transparent. The larvae are also occupied with dense hairs.
