Cornelia Tautu

Cornelia Tautu ( born March 10, 1938 in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania) is a Romanian composer.

Life

Cornelia Tautu studied from 1960 to 1965 Folklore, orchestration and composition with Mihail Jora, Aurel Stroe and Emilia Comişel at the National University of Music in Bucharest. She then worked until 1975 at the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore " Constantin Brailoiu " and as an editor at Editura Muzicală in Bucharest. In between, she studied from 1971 to 1972 at the Long Iceland University in New York City. Since the mid- 1970s, she was also active as a film composer and was responsible for the music of movies like duel with the loneliness, the holiday of a high school student and the golden train.
